"Behold the Bridegroom is coming in the middle of the night.
Blessed is the servant He shall find awake.
But the one he shall find neglectful will not be worthy of Him.
Beware, therefore, O my soul!
Do not fall into a deep slumber, lest you be delivered to death
and the door of the Kingdom be closed to you.
Watch instead and cry out: Holy, Holy, Holy are you, O God.
Through the intercession of the Theotokos, have mercy on us."
(Troparion of the Bridegroom)
On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of Great and Holy Week, we pray Bridegroom Matins, and this year, it's particularly beautiful that the fourteenth anniversary of the founding of our monastery (April 3) is during these days. As we celebrate our patronal commemoration and prepare for Pascha, please pray for us.
If you'd like to join us for prayer this week, opportunities to pray with us are posted on the Liturgy and Events Schedule tab above. If you have a large family or group that will be joining us, please email us (firstname.lastname@example.org) to let us know, so that we can prepare enough candles, booklets, Eucharist, etc.
We pray that you all will have a prayerful and holy week, drawing ever closer to Christ our Bridegroom.
